Police found the stolen car in Mamelodi which had been taken by five armed men after a house robbery.

Police are appealing for information on five armed men who left a stolen car at the Denlyn Mall on Tuesday.

Mamelodi police spokesperson Warrant Officer Michael Mbewe said the car was recovered after being traced there using a tracking device.

It had been stolen in a house robbery on Monday night.

“The car was linked to a house robbery in Midrand where five armed suspects stormed into a house, tied up the family and fled with some valuables,” he said.

He said the men fled with plasma televisions, jewellery, a Mini Cooper and a KIA SUV.

No arrests have been made.

“We are appealing to the public for any information on who left the car at the shopping mall. Police are investigating and can be reached on 012 812 9000,” he said.
