R100 000 reward to solve cop murder

A R100 000 reward for murder information.

Mamelodi East police is offering a reward of R100 000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the murder of a policeman on March 30.

Warrant Officer Mokgoato Thema Lekgau (51) was stationed at Wierdabrug police station as a shift commander at the time.

According to Mamelodi East police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Michael Mbewe, Lekgau was found murdered by a passerby in Mahube around 02:00 that morning.

He had a stab wound in the upper body.

“A reward of R100 000 is waiting for positive information that may secure the conviction of those responsible, in order to bring closure to this matter,” said Mbewe.
