Cyclist stabbed at Fort Klapperkop
Another robbery incident happened at Fort Klapperkop where a man was stabbed several times for his cellphone.
A 55-year-old cyclist was stabbed several times when he was robbed at Fort Klapperkop.
Sunnyside police spokesperson Sergeant Asnat Malatsi said the man was riding his mountain bike around 06:15 on Sunday morning when he was approached by two men.
“They pulled him off his bike and demanded his cellphone. The man refused to hand it over, but they stabbed him in the upper arm,” she said.
She said the man was stabbed six times.
The robbers managed to flee with his cell phone, valued at R16 000.
“No arrests have been made. Police are investigating a case of robbery with a weapon and assault.”
