A fraud syndicate was busted in Pretoria north after they scammed products worth quarter of a million.
Two people were arrested when a fraud syndicate was busted in an industrial area in Pretoria North.
Hi-Risk Unit spokesperson Arthur Crewe said the men scammed a cleaning company of products last Friday.
The men paid with fraudulent cheques for products worth R260 000.
“One of our clients was scammed with invoices worth R130 000. The men then returned for more products also at R130 000 after depositing fraudulent cheques. However, we were waiting for them,” he said.
