Two arrested for murder, armed robbery
Two men who robbed and killed a 27-year-old man in Wintervedlt on Monday morning, have been arrested.

Two men have been arrested for the robbery and murder of a man outside Anna’s tavern in Wintervedlt on Monday.
The two, a 26- and 31-year-old, were arrested in Winterveldt on Tuesday morning.
Loate police spokesperson, Constable Petunia Chabangu said the two male suspects held a 27-year-old man at gunpoint in the street about 09:00, and demanded his wallet and cellphone.
It is not known where the victim was headed when he was attacked.
“After robbing him the suspects assaulted him, hitting him multiple time in the head with the back of a gun after which they shot him,” said Chabangu.
Police were called and arrived swiftly.
“The suspects tried to run away, but were successfully chased down and arrested,” said Chabangu.
The suspects were expected to appear in Ga-Rankuwa Magistrates Court soon to face charges of murder and armed robbery.
Two unlicensed firearms were seized from the suspects.
