Police officer shot and killed in Moot home
A member of the South African Police Service was shot and killed in his house in the Moot area on Monday night.

A police officer was shot and killed in his house in on Monday night.
Moot GPF chairperson, Elsabe Weyers, said the incident occurred on 20th Avenue in the Moot area.
According to Weyers it seems to have been a hijiacking as the officer’s car has allegedly gone missing along with his firearm.
She says the officer was a Lieutenant Colonel.
Hawks spokesperson, Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi confirmed the shooting.
According to Mulaudzi the motive is not yet known.
“We seized about 14 cartridges at the scene.”
The Hawks is investigating the matter.
