Search for missing children continues

The search is still on for the missing girls.

The Mamelodi West and East police are doing everything possible to find two missing girls in Mamelodi.

Zinhle Ndala (9) disappeared on 4 January and Karabo Mankge (15) went missing on 14 January.

Ndala was last seen playing with other children in the street and was wearing a green T-shirt, blue jeans, brown pumps and had a straight up hair style.

Mankge was last seen going to school with her sister but never arrived at school.

Mamelodi West police spokesperson Captain Johannes Maheso confirmed Mankge’s disappearance has been reported at the station and the police were investigating.

Warrant Officer Sam Shibambo from the Mamelodi East police said a few leads were being followed up in the search for Ndala.

Maheso said the two disappearances were being investigated separately as police did not believe any serial killers were on the loose in Mamelodi.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the two missing girls could contact the police on 08600 10 111.

Another search for a missing person in Mamelodi had a sad ending when James Madireng Sibanyoni (47) was found at the government mortuary.

He went missing on 5 January.

His mother Mohlapa Sibanyoni said police found her son next to the Hatherly dumping site in Nellmapius on 6 January.

He will be buried on Saturday at the Mamelodi West cemetery. The service starts at 07:00.
