The Hawks had identified a third suspect in investigations into a recent theft at the State Security Agency in Pretoria.

The Hawks released a statement on Tuesday with a picture of a man sought in connection with the disappearance of millions of rand at the agency in December.

“A substantial reward will be offered to anyone who will tip-off the police about the whereabouts of this most wanted man,” said the Hawks.

Two men have so far been arrested over the crime and appeared at the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, said Hawks spokesperson Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi.

Khayalethu Mgatyelwa and William Mmotong made a brief appearance in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday and the matter was postponed to February 18, 2015.

Mulaudzi said Mgtyelwa was out on bail but Mmotong remained in custody, awaiting his bail application which was set for January 25.

The men were arrested two weeks ago, after security footage surfaced of a group of men who entered the State Security Agency on 26 Desember.

One of them was captured by a CCTV camera, casually walking down the agency corridor. Money was taken from a safe and the crime was discovered the following day.

Mulaudzi urged anyone with information on the matter to call Colonel Tolie Vreugdengburg on 082-451-7226 or Colonel Makasela Nkuna on 082-565-8506.
