A man was killed and two others were left critically injured, following mob justice in Soshanguve on Thursday afternoon.
Mabopane police spokesperson , Captain Rheineth Motlana said the victims were accused of robbery.
“Three men aged between 28 and 30 years were severely beaten by the community in Soshanguve extension 14. The victims were accused of several robberies around the area in recent weeks,” she said.
“When police arrived, they found one victim had died at the scene and two others were critically injured. The injured were taken to the George Mkhari hospital.”
Motlana said a case of murder and assault was opened for further investigations.
“No arrests were made following the mob justice,” she said.
We urge the community to report criminal activities and not take the law into their own hands, Motlana said.
