Five hurt in crash
Five people were seriously injured when two vehicles collided in Mayville.
Five people were seriously injured in a crash in Mayville on Friday afternoon, paramedics said.
Best Care spokesperson Xander Loubser said two cars collided on the corner of Mansfield Road and Van Rensburg Street.
“Paramedics found five people scattered on the scene. Upon assessment of the patients, we found all five of them sustained serious injuries.”
Loubser said two patients were taken to the Eugene Marais hospital while the other three were transported to other hospitals.
“The cause of the accident is not yet clear. The patients were from both vehicles,” he said.
