One killed after colliding with spinning taxi

A man was killed when his car collided with a spinning taxi on the N4 highway on Friday.

A motorist was killed when he crashed into a minibus taxi on the N4 highway near Atteridgeville on Friday afternoon.

Best Care Ambulance Service said this happened after the taxi’s rear tyre burst.

“The taxi driver lost control and a Volkswagen Golf T-boned the spinning vehicle. The Golf’s driver lost his life,” said spokesperson Xander Loubser.

He said three people from the taxi were slightly injured.

They were treated at the scene and taken to hospital.

Police were investigating the cause of the crash.
