Vehicle catches fire after accident

A Mercedes Benz caught fire when it drove into a veld after an accident

A vehicle caught fire on Saturday morning after it was shoved off the road in an accident on the R511 north.

OrangeFox spokesperson, Vanessa Jacobs, said this happened on the road en route to Hartbeespoort.

She said the driver was returning from Botswana when his Mercedes Benz was driven into.

“The driver lost control and swirled into the veld where it caught fire.”

She said OrangeFox responded after receiving a call from a game reserve across from the scene.

“We contacted the fire brigade and responded to the scene to assist.”

No one was injured, she said.
