Man shot at restaurant recovering well
The man that was shot by an unknown man outside a restaurant in the east was out of ICU, his fiance said.
Conrad Liebenberg was recovering well in hospital after he was shot by an unknown man at Kimiad golf course, east of Pretoria earlier this week.
The 24-year-old general manager of the O Sole Mio restaurant was shot in the upper body when he was approached by an armed man outside the restaurant on Wednesday morning.
His fiancé, Lalucia van Niekerk, said Liebenberg was out of ICU.
“He was moved to a normal ward and could be discharged soon.”
According to course manager Jana Jones, the shooting was meant as a warning to the owner of the restaurant.
“From what I heard, Conrad said the man who shot him shouted that it was a warning for his boss at the restaurant.”
Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Dave Miller said the shooter was still at large.
“No arrests have been made as yet and we are following up on leads.”
