Four heavily-armed men robbed a Waterkloof Ridge resident and her employees on Thursday morning.

Sunnyside police spokesperson Sergent Asnath Malatsi said the gun-wielding robbers forced the 58-year-old woman to give them money and the keys to her safe.

“The four men forced the woman, who runs a jewellery business from home, and two of her employees to the floor and demanded money and keys to the safe,” Malatsi said.

The men took a television set, jewellery and R10 000 in cash before fleeing the scene.

“A business robbery docket was opened at the Brooklyn police station,” said Malatsi.

He urged anyone with information on the robbery to report to the nearest police station.

“Any information provided would remain strictly confidential,” said Malatsi.
