Restaurant manager discharged
The man who was shot outside a restaurant last week was discharged from hospital.
Conrad Liebenberg was discharged from hospital at the weekend after he was shot by an unknown man at Kimiad golf course last week.
The 24-year-old was recovering well but was still in a lot of pain, his fiancé Lalucia Van Niekerk told Rekord on Monday.
“He is still very traumatised and can’t use his arm. There is a lot of recuperation that needs to happen and also physiotherapy,” she said.
Liebenberg, general manager of O Sole Mio restaurant at the golf course, was shot in the upper body when he was approached by an armed man outside last Wednesday morning.
According to course manager Jana Jones, the shooting was meant as a warning to the owner of the restaurant.
“From what I heard, Conrad said the man who shot him shouted that it was a warning for his boss at the restaurant.”
No arrests have been made by Monday.
