Tiegerpoort man still critical
The man who had been shot in his Tiegerpoort home was still in a critical condition on Friday afternoon.
A young man from the east of Pretoria remains in a critical condition after being shot at his Tiegerpoort home earlier this week.
Tyron Harding (26) was hit in the hip when he went to investigate a noise he had heard outside his house.
Police spokesperson Captain Marissa van der Merwe said Harding had undergone surgery because some of his organs had been damaged.
“He is still in hospital and is still critical.”
Harding heard dogs barking outside his home on Tuesday night.
“While walking through the house, he saw one of the outside doors standing wide open. As he walked towards the door, he was shot in the hip,” said van der Merwe.
Paramedics were alerted and Harding was airlifted to hospital.
“The suspects immediately fled the scene after shooting him. Nothing was stolen. It is unclear how many suspects were involved.”
Investigations were continuing, she said.
