Burglars caught in the act

Police have arrested two burglars red-handed with tools of the trade.

Garsfontein police have arrested two suspects in the process of breaking into a Lyttelton home.

Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Dave Miller confirmed the arrest Thursday evening at 19:00.

He said police caught the burglars with tools in their possession to break into the house.

Rumours (circulated on social media) were denied of a ‘marked police vehicle’ being used by the burglars.

“A police vehicle was in fact on scene, but they were there to arrest the criminals,” said Miller.
