TUT student shot near campus
A 20-year-old student was shot when he was being robbed near the Tshwane University of Technology campus on Thursday.

A Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) student was shot and wounded on Thursday morning when he was robbed near the Pretoria west campus.
Emer-G-Med spokesperson Braam Kruger said it was believed the student was accosted by three armed men who demanded his belongings between the train station and the campus.
“He was then shot at close range in the chest and hand, leaving the 20-year-old in a critical condition.”
Paramedics stabilised the student before he was airlifted to hospital by Netcare 911 for urgent surgical management.
Netcare 911 spokesperson Athlenda Mathe said the student was taken to a Johannesburg hospital.
Police were on the scene to investigate, Kruger said.
