ConCourt denies Pistorius appeal

Oscar Pistorius was refused his leave to appeal his murder conviction on Thursday.

Oscar Pistorius was denied leave to appeal his murder ruling by the Constitutional Court on Thursday afternoon.

The Paralympian will be sentenced on 18 April after he was found guilty of murder by the Supreme Court Appeal in December last year.

The athlete is currently out on R10 000 bail with conditions that include wearing an electronic monitoring device and only being allowed to travel within a 20km radius from his uncle’s Waterkloof home.

Thursday marked the two year anniversary since the start of Pistorius’ culpable homicide trial after he shot and killed his model girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp in 2013.
