Tshwane metro police inspector, Phindile Molefe said a fire truck was responding to an emergency when it accidentally bumped the taxi causing it to overturn.

“Six people were taken to hospital with varying injuries from minor to major,” Molefe said.

But according to Netcare 911 media liaison officer Athlenda Mathe, ten people were injured.

“Ten people have sustained injuries varying from serious to moderate. Netcare911 paramedics worked alongside other services on the scene to treat the injured,” Mathe explained.

She added that seven of the ten people injured sustained moderate injuries while the remaining three sustained serious injuries.
