An Ecubini Junior School girl who was reported missing last week, has been found.
Lethabo Siphesihle Mongake (14) was found at her friend’s home in Slovoville, Winterveldt after going missing on 10 March.
Police spokesperson, Constable Petunia Chabangu confirmed the teen girl had been found and was safe.
“Her grandparents reported her missing after she failed to inform them of whereabouts after not returning [home] from school,” said Chabangu.
Chabangu appealed to all school-going children to always inform their parents of their whereabouts all the time.
“Her grandparents were in distress. They reported her missing. The search began at Mabopane Station where she was last seen by schoolmates getting off the school bus,” said Chabangu.
Chabangu commended police for the manner in which they conducted the search.
