TMPD arrests scores for drugs
More than 50 suspects were arrested for the possession of drugs this week.

The Tshwane metro police (TMPD) arrested 53 suspects for the possession of drugs this week.
Senior Superintendent Isaac Mahamba said the arrests were made in the Pretoria CBD and Pretoria West.
Thirty of the suspects were arrested in the CBD.
“We confiscated the usual drugs – dagga and cocaine,” said Mahamba.
Mahamba could not come to a figure of the value of the drugs confiscated.
Last weekend, the TMPD arrested 28 suspects for possession of drugs.
Spokesperson Inspector Phindile Molefe said the culprits were in possession of crystal meth, dagga, heroin, cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
“Three were arrested in Soshanguve, one in Silverton, one in Pretoria CBD, another in Hercules and five in Paul Kruger Street in the CBD.”
She said the remaining 17 were arrested in the notorious Brown Street.
“The total number of drug arrests in Brown Street from mid-February to date is 123.”
