Hijacked PTA vehicle recovered near Lesotho

Two suspects apprehended near the Lesotho border.

A vehicle was recovered and two suspects nabbed near the Lesotho border following a hijacking in Pretoria on Thursday night.

Shona Minards, Netstar tracking company spokesperson, said the vehicle was recovered on Friday morning, in Phuthaditjhaba in the Free State.

The Golf GTi was hijacked in Pretoria on Thursday night, and the owner called Netstar for help,

“We [Netstar] activated the response unit which followed a signal received from the Standerton area. Ground and air response teams tracked the vehicle. Two male occupants were arrested during recovery,” Minards said.

The vehicle was found just before the Lesotho border in Phuthaditjhaba.

The Netstar crew handed the two suspects as well as the recovered vehicle to the Phuthaditjhaba police.
