Man seriously injured in horrific accident

A man was trapped in his vehicle following an accident on Tuesday night.

A man was seriously injured in an accident on Tuesday night in the east of Pretoria.

He remained trapped in the wreckage until the Tshwane fire department freed him.

Netcare911 spokesperson Athlenda Mathe said medics responded to the accident between Duncan and Stanza Bopape streets in Hatfield.

She said reports indicated one vehicle T-boned the other forcing it off the road onto the pavement.

“When Netcare medics arrived at the scene they found one seriously injured man still trapped inside his vehicle,” Mathe said.

“After he was removed, medics stabilised him then transported him to hospital.”

Mathe said the driver of the other car sustained minor injuries.
