Driver on run after fatal accident
Police are searching for a bus driver after a woman was killed in an accident.
A bus driver is on the run after a young woman was killed when his vehicle knocked her over, Ga-Rankuwa police said.
Spokesperson Warrant Officer Mathews Nkoadi said police had opened a culpable homicide docket and was searching for the man.
The 27-year-old woman was hit by the bus near the Sefako Makgato Health Sciences University on Tuesday.
“The bus driver did not bother to stop. He just sped off immediately after the incident,” said Nkoadi.
“More charges could be added as the investigation carries on.”
Nkoadi urged anyone with information on the matter to call the police.
