A metro police officer was arrested by Hammanskraal police on Saturday for apparently soliciting a R1000 bribe.
The officer was taken into custody near the Carousel tollgate.
Metro police spokesperson Senior Superintendent Isaac Mahamba said a statement on the matter would be issued later.
