Police were urging the public to come forward with information on a man who could assist with a murder case.
Police have released an identikit of a man they believe could assist with information regarding the murder of a pensioner in Die Wilgers.
Randall Bason (70) was brutally stabbed and strangled during a robbery on the morning of 15 February.
His wife Theresa discovered his body, with computer speaker cables around his neck. Several kitchen knives were scattered around the house.
“The man we are looking for is a person of interest,” said Garsfontein police spokesperson Warrant Officer Dave Miller on Tuesday.
“He is someone who may have more details that could lead to further information. We urge people to come forward.”
Miller urged anyone with information on the matter to call investigating officer Constable Motau on 012-369-6900.
