NEWSFLASH: Elderly man killed in crash

He died on the scene after his vehicle crashed into a house.

An elderly man was killed when his car crashed into a house in Pretoria West on Tuesday evening.

Bestcare spokesperson Xander Loubser said this happened around 23:00 in Suiderberg on the corner of Irvine and Dorp streets.

“A vehicle went off the road and ploughed through the fence before crashing into the living room of a house,” he said.

“The driver was resuscitated on scene prior our arrival but unfortunately he didn’t pull through.”

Loubser said the man was alone the car at the time of the crash.

The cause of the accident was not immediately clear.

Netcare 911 spokesperson Athlenda Mathe said the occupants of the house were not injured.
