Jhb metro cops deny Malema claims
Update on the alleged harassment of EFF leader, Julius Malema.

The Johannesburg metro police have denied harassing Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema.
“There was no harassment and no case was brought to us,” spokesperson Wayne Minaar said.
The Economic Freedom Fighters had claimed that Malema was on Sunday harried by an unmarked police van in Sandton.
Minaar said a woman officer spotted a white range rover and indicated to the occupants to pull over.
“She then tested the lights which were blue and are only reserved for SA Police Service, metro or the military vehicles.”
Minnaar said he could divulge any personal information that might compromise someone security.
EFF spokesperson Mbuyiseni Ndlozi earlier said Malema was stopped by a white unmarked van and surrounded by about 10 police cars.
“The police then all came out pointing guns at his car and forced him out.”
Ndlozi said Malema got out his vehicle and the police did nothing, saying it was all a mistake.
Ndlozi reckoned that Malema was being targeted by an “enemy” which he failed to mention by name.
He said that: “Now that their criminal charges and Sars cases were not successful… the enemy is going for his security, physically seeking to subdue him into fear.”
Twitter users had this to say about the ‘harassment’:
@judy_thebus @News24 i Malema felt harassed why not report the matter instead of going to tweeter. Attention seeker.
