Shooting leaves man critical

Man shot at his home in an alleged robbery.

A man was shot and wounded during an alleged robbery outside his home in Pretoria North on Friday, paramedics said.

Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha said the shooting happened around 11:45 in Leon Street, Tileba.

“Reports from the scene indicate the man was shot at the gate outside his house during an alleged robbery.”

“Paramedics arrived at the scene and found the man to be in a critical condition.

Botha said the man was stabilised at the scene before he was transported to hospital under the care of an advanced life support paramedic.

“The exact details of the incident will be investigated by the police,” he said.

Police could not provide further information at the time of publishing.
