Hawks nab two for drug possession
The Hawks have arrested two people for drug possession on Friday. A man(40) was arrested for heroin and cocaine possession in Valley View in Centurion while in another incident, a man(39) was arrested for cocaine worth R2,5 million at OR Tambo International on Friday.

The Hawks cracked down on two men for drug possession in Centurion and OR Tambo international airport on Friday.
According to Hawks spokesperson Lieutenant Carol Mulamu, a 41-year-old man was arrested for possession of cocaine and heroin rocks in his home in Valley View, Centurion.
Mulamu said in a statement: “A sting operation led the Hawks to the suspect’s house in a plush Centurion estate and a self-storage unit in Valley View where heroin and cocaine rocks weighing 1.3kg were found.”
Mulamu also said bank statements showing transactions ranging from R100 000 to R200 000 were seized.
In the second incident, a 39-year-old man was arrested after cocaine worth an estimated R2.5 million, was found in his luggage.
Mulamu said the man had just flown in from Brazil.
“The cocaine weighed 5kg. The Hawks received a tip-off that led to the arrest of the man,” she said.
The Centurion man will appear in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court and the other in the Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court both on Monday.
