Police arrested 193 people in a blitz this weekend in Hercules.
The arrests were made during patrol and detection duties, Base Camp operations, metro law enforcement duties and Pretoria West Cluster drug operations, police spokesperson Captain Bonginkosi Msimango said on Monday.
“The suspects were arrested during the weekend, for crimes ranging from rape to robbery.”
Other crimes committed include possession of drugs, dealing in drugs, fraud, shoplifting, possession of suspected stolen properties, attempted robbery, theft, malicious damage to property, assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm, drunken driving, drunkenness and public drinking, Msimango said.
Msimango said the arrested were expected to appear in court on Monday.
