Man (70) arrested for nephew’s death
A man was arrested in Eersterus, Hammanskraal after death of his nephew.
A man was arrested for allegedly killing his nephew in New Eersterus near Temba, Hammanskraal on Monday.
Police spokesperson Constable Herman Moremi said the 70-year-old man allegedly had an argument with his nephew (25) after which he pulled a firearm, shot and killed him.
“The old man got angry and entered his bedroom and came back with a firearm,” said Moremi.
He shot the victim several times in the upper body.
“When police arrived at the scene, they found the victim in the kitchen lying in a pool of blood, with eleven spent cartridges on the floor,” he said.
The uncle is expected to appear in the Temba Magistrate’s Court soon.
