Two people were injured in an armed robbery at a liquor store on Thursday night.

Best Care ambulance services spokesperson Xander Loubser said the robbery took place in a store on Broadway Street, Valhalla.

“A customer and the owner of the store were both assaulted. The owner has a head injury from being hit on the head with a bottle,” Loubser said.

According to Loubser the customer sustained back injuries as the robbers kicked him.

“The customer was transported to Kalafong hospital,” he said.

Loubser said Wierdabrug police were on the scene.
