University of Pretoria’s soccer team desperately need a win to avoid being relegated next season.
They take on Mpumalanga Black Aces in Mbombela on Wednesday.
The Pretoria gained promotion to the PSL in the 2011/12 season and in their first season, they finished in the top 8 under coach Steve Barker.
Things have not gone well this season for the Amatuks as they find themselves second from bottom with two games to go.
Their 3-1 defeat to Sundowns put them in a very tough situation as they now need to win all their remaining games and hope JomoCosmos doesn’t win their last two games in order to retain their PSL status.
Coach Shaun Bartlett has brought belief to the side since he took over early this year but a run of bad results has seen them fail to catch Cosmos.
Tuks have only registered five wins in 28 games. Their closest competitor, Maritzburg United are level on points with the Pretoria side but have inferior goal difference.
If United are to win their next game Ajax Cape Town, and Tuks win against Aces, then all will be decided on the last day.
