Forty-six pupils tested positive for drugs at Hercules High School in a police clampdown on Wednesday.
Hercules police spokesperson Bonginkosi Msimango said the operation formed part of an ongoing programme in the west of Pretoria.
“Hercules police, in joint operation with the K9 unit, embarked on a school search operation at Hercules High School under the auspices of the social crime prevention unit,” he said.
“One pupil was found with several matchboxes containing dagga and 46 pupils tested positive for drugs,” he said.
Msimango said similar operations were conducted at a number of other schools with their co-operation in a bid to rid school grounds in the area of drugs.
