Girls gone missing

Two teenage girls were last seen when they went to Shoprite.

A teenager from Hercules, Pretoria West, went missing on Thursday.

Casandra Muhlenbeck and a friend left for Shoprite at 19:30 on Thursday evening but did not return.

Police said Muhlenbeck’s friend, only known as Abby, was with her when she disappeared but only Muhlenbeck was reported missing.

Abby has also not been seen since.

Tania du Preez, a concerned resident, said the two girls were between 15 and 16 years old.

She said Abby was wearing a dark blue/black chequered jacket while Muhlenbeck had a Jack Daniel’s jacket on.

Neither of the girls were attending school, said the resident.

“The two girls are still missing, but have been seen in the area,” said Hercules police spokesperson Captain Bonginkosi Msimango.

Captain Msimango said the girls had a domestic argument with one of the girls’ mothers and left.

The girls have reportedly been seen at a house in Booysens, Pretoria West.

The police are still investigating.

Anyone with information can contact Hercules Police Station on 012-377-4100.
