A man was killed and another injured in a crash on the R21 in Centurion on Wednesday morning.
Emer-G-Med spokesperson Braam Kruger said a truck and a car collided around 09:00 between Nellmapius Drive and Olifantsfontein Road.
“Unfortunately on assessment paramedics found that the driver of the car had sadly succumbed to his horrific injuries,” said Kruger.
“Nothing further could be done and paramedics declared him dead on the scene.”
The driver of the truck escaped with minor injuries.
“The exact events leading up to the collision will be investigated by the police and Gauteng traffic authorities,” said Kruger.
Traffic was still heavy by noon and delays could be expected.
