Doctor robbed at surgery

A doctor was robbed at his surgery by two armed men on Monday.

A doctor was robbed at gunpoint at his surgery in Saulsville on Monday.

Police spokesperson Captain Augustinah Selepe said the robbery occurred around 13:00.

“The doctor said he was approached by two men who wore balaclavas and carried firearms,” she said.

“No shots were fired and the doctor was not harmed.

“The two suspects stole R1 000, an Acer laptop, a Samsung cellphone and drove away in a Mercedes.”

Selepe said the stolen vehicle was recovered in an informal settlement in Atteridgeville, and the men were still on the run.

A case of business robbery was opened at the Atteridgeville police station.
