Guard pleads guilty to girlfriend’s murder
The two strangled Lebepe to death, Nhlapo wrapped it in a blanket and Hlatswayo put Lebepe’s body in a trolley.

Sefiso John Hlatswayo (34) pleaded guilty to killing his girlfriend in the Pretoria High Court on Wednesday.
Hlatswayo a security guard pleaded guilty to murder and defeating the ends of justice and also told the court he was ready to accept his punishment.
But his co-accused and supervisor, Themba Thomas Nhlapo denied the charges put to him, including rape, and his case was postponed to 10 October.
Hlatshwayo’s girlfriend, Moyagabo Regina Lebepe was strangled in the Menlyn Woods office block on 11 September two years ago.
A pantyhose was wrapped around her face twice.
Hlatswayo told Judge Tshifhiwa Mumela that he would accept punishment for the crime he committed.
Hlatshwayo said his girlfriend visited him at his workplace where Nhlapo was present.
In his testimony, Hlatswayo said Nhlapo had allowed him to have sexual relations with Lebepe in one of the rooms after which Nhlapo had asked for a turn with Lepebe but she refused.
Hlatswayo said Nhlapo then sent him to do patrol and he left his girlfriend with Nhlapo.
When he returned 30 to 35 minutes later, Lebepe threatened to file rape charges against both men.
Scared she would see her threat through, Hlatswayo said he and Nhlapo decided to kill her.
Hlatswayo held her hands behind her back and Nhlapo strangled her. I went to fetch a shopping trolley and when I returned Nhlapo had already wrapped her in a blanket. They then put her body in the trolley which they hid in an isolated area.
Hlatshwayo told the Judge he was unaware that Nhlapo had raped Lebepe and did not know when the pantyhose was wrapped around her face.
Lebepe’s body was found four days after she was killed.
Hlatshwayo remains in custody and will be sentenced on 26 May.
