NEWSFLASH: Man found dead in Centurion
A passer-by thought the man was sleeping but medics declared him dead on Monday.
An unidentified homeless man was found dead in Clubview on Monday afternoon, Orange Fox medical unit said.
Spokesperson Ruan Heyns said the man in his 50s was discovered by a passer-by around 14:30, behind the Post Office mailboxes in Edinburg Street.
“They thought he was sleeping but it was discovered he was dead. We were called to the scene and declared him dead as there was nothing further we could do,” he told Rekord.
He said the man had no visible injuries.
“He was found lying in the foetal position. Police have took over the scene and are investigating the cause of death. He has been moved to a state mortuary,” said Heyns.
