ANC lifts Matjila’s expulsion
”We are not here to express anything. We were just informed by the NDC that the matter has been resolved”.

ANC Tshwane regional deputy secretary George Matjila’s expulsion has been lifted.
Matjila was expelled for bringing the ruling party into disrepute when a fight was started by him and other members disrupting an ANC Youth regional conference at Grootvlei conference centre in 2014.
He then appealed his expulsion, which was then lifted by the party’s national disciplinary committee (NDC) on the 28 May.
ANC Tshwane spokesperson Teboho Joala confirmed the expulsion had been lifted but declined to comment on how the Tshwane region felt about the matter.
“We are not here to express anything. We were just informed by the NDC that the matter has been resolved,” Joala said.
Matjila is the MMC for Transport at the Tshwane metro.
