Women of Substance launched in Pretoria East
“We want to bring inner strength to women because women tend to have a tendency to lack inner confidence”.
Women of Substance held its ‘Light my fire” women’s function at the a Protea Fire and Ice Hotel in Menlyn on Saturday.
Its founder, Charlotte du Plessis said the organisation was doing well in Johannesburg, and she wanted to bring it to Pretorian women.
Du Plessis said the event was not only about networking but also about empowering women.
“We want to bring inner strength to women because women tend to have a tendency to lack confidence,” Du Plessis said.
Founder of 67 Blankets for Mandela Day, Caryln Steyn who was one of the guest speakers motivated women to give back to the community and assist the less fortunate.
Steyn also thanked Du Plessis for inviting her and applauded her for running an organisation, which she described as ‘not easy’.
“We are celebrating women and men who celebrate women with drive and ambition. Women who want to make a difference not only in their own lives but also in the lives of others,” she said.
