Sosha Ladies soccer team qualifies for regional league
The Soshanguve Ladies soccer team qualified for the SAFTA women Regional League during a tournament at Pretoria West stadium on Saturday 19 June.
Soshanguve Ladies soccer team beat Transnet Ladies at Pretoria West stadium on Saturday 19 June, to claim qualification for the SA Football Association Tshwane (SAFTA) Women’s Regional League.
Soshanguve ladies won 5-3, with striker Nokwanda Shabangu scoring the first three goals in the first half .
After the break, rightwinger, Tebogo Mokwena scored the other two for her team.
Emantia Khosa team manager said: “It was a difficult game but nonetheless I am happy that we won as a team.”
Khosa said when they worked as a team and whole-heartedly, they could achieve anything.
“I feel proud about the goals I scored as it was my first hattrick,” the excited Shabangu explained, who was also crowned the tournament’s leading scorer.
She said she had hoped to play for Banyana Banyana one day.
Zinhle Buthelezi of Transnet said they were disappointed about the loss.
