Residents expose illegal dumpers
Raslouw Glen Estate residents have taken action against illegal dumpers.
Illegal dumpers need to be exposed and stopped, says Raslouw Glen Estate manager Mani Peters.
Peters said residents in the Glen Estate in Centurion were furious at being exposed to bad smells from manure dumped behind the wall of their complex.
“We have a huge problem with people dumping rubble and horse manure on the estate’s boundary wall.”
He said residents inside the complex had started taking photos of the dumpers, which they will hand over to the police.
Peters said the latest dumping was on Wednesday afternoon.
Residents forced dumpers to reload horse manure and rubble back onto their bakkie after they were found offloading it.
“We caught two of them and forced them to load their rubble and horse manure back onto their truck.”
“This (dumping) needs to stop.”
He said he did not know how the dumping had escalated so rapidly as it only began two weeks ago.
No comment was received from the police at the time of publishing.
