Unconfirmed report of new-born found dead
The baby was found dead near a stream by a passerby.
The body of new-born baby was found dumped in a stream next to Mamelodi East Section SNS on Sunday.
The body was said to have been discovered by a passerby and reported to the police.
But Mamelodi police spokesperson Captain Johannes Maheso said they had nothing on their records regarding a baby in a stream.
A month ago a new-born baby was found dead in the same stream between Mamelodi West and East.
Pupils returning from school spotted the baby in the water and police were alerted.
