The five were found in possession of dagga valued at over R100 000 in Centurion on Monday morning.
A woman and her four male accomplices were arrested for possession of dagga valued at over R100 000 in Centurion on Monday morning.
Lyttelton police spokesperson Warrant Officer Hero Gumbu said the arrest came after an alert was sent out regarding a vehicle that was was suspected to be involved in a house robbery in Villieria.
“The suspects were not robbing a house but were actually offloading dagga from a truck into their vehicle, a Ford Focus.”
He said police spotted the vehicle in Centurion.
“Police spotted a vehicle that matched the same description on John Vorster Drive and stopped it.”
Gumbu said upon searching the vehicle, 18 bags of dagga wrapped in plastic were found, weighing 82.3kg.
“The street value (of the dagga) was R108 000. The suspects were immediately arrested and will appear in court soon.”
