Carl Pistorius motivates students

“No human is perfect and we are bound to make mistakes.”

Carl Pistorius, brother of former Paralympian Oscar Pistorius, had inspiring words of motivation for students in Arcadia, Pretoria, on Wednesday.

Carl is an entrepreneur in various industries such as the automotive and furniture trades.

He addressed a career day event at Boston Media House to motivate students and guide them to shape their futures and achieve goals that could have an effect on their lives.

“We should allow children to be excellent. No human is perfect and we are bound to make mistakes.”

“Life hands everyone different blows and not one person or family is without challenges.”

A student at Boston Media House, Leago Monareng, said: “Thanks to Carl Pistorius, I have started to view my life differently. He is a great motivator and has so much to offer young people.”

Monareng said career day was not just a day to discuss different jobs and skills needed for a career, but a day where a platform was created for people to share their knowledge and wisdom on industries with the youth.

Another student, Keletso Gaelesiwe, said to her career day was a very insightful day that reminded her there was life in her chosen career beyond her particular qualification.

“Motivation always reminds me not to give up and to keep going.”

Carl reminded students we were living in a daunting time, but should learn to relax because failure was not an inability to reach goals.
