Pupils arrested for school burglary, theft

Three pupils were arrested after they confessed to stealing from the school earlier this week.

Three pupils, aged from 18 to 19 years, were arrested earlier this week for theft of computers from a school in Olievenhoutbosch, Tshwane metro police (TMPD) spokesperson Senior Superintendent Isaac Mahamba said.

The arrest came after the TMPD was alerted to a burglary and theft of computers and laptops at Steve Tshwete Secondary School on Tuesday.

After investigations, one boy was arrested.

“Information obtained from him led to two more boys being arrest on Wednesday,” said Mahamba.

Three computers and a laptop that were stolen from the school were recovered.

The pupils confessed to the burglary and theft.

“They were detained at Olievenhoutbosch police station and will appear in court soon.”
