Police looking for armed robber
The Mamelodi police are looking for a young man in connection with an armed robbery earlier in July.
The Mamelodi East police are looking for this man in connection with an armed robbery case.
The man is believed to be in his early 20s.
Spokesperson, Warrant Officer Michael Mbewe said the man allegedly robbed a woman on her way to work on 6 July.
“The man and his two accomplices were driving in a dark blue Toyota Conquest Tazz when they stopped next to the complainant in Mahube Valley around 05:00, he pointed a fire arm at her and took her handbag,” said Mbewe.
The car then sped off.
He advised residents against trying to apprehend the man if he was seen, urging instead for the police to be notified.
“The man maybe armed and dangerous,” said Mbewe.
